From the wrestling ring to the bedtime story.

A story close to home.

Adam Alexander made his wrestling debut in 2002. For nearly 25 years, he has stepped into the ring as Adam Shame, “The Paisley Wrecking Machine”, competing across the UK and Europe. Along the way, he has won multiple championships, including becoming a three-time NWA Scottish Heavyweight Champion.

Away from the ring, Adam is a loving father and now a doting grandfather, surrounded by a wrestling-mad family. With the next generation carrying that passion forward, the story of the “Shame dynasty” continues to grow — in family life and in professional wrestling.

His debut children’s book, My Daddy the Wrestler, brings these two worlds together in a warm-hearted story about courage, kindness and family love.

Through Highland Hero Books, Adam is creating a home for stories with adventure, heart and family at their centre.
